Counsel
Pencil & Pathways provides compassionate, school-based counseling tailored to students’ academic, social, and emotional needs. We offer both individual and small-group sessions, supporting skills like emotional regulation, behavior management, executive functioning, and resilience.
Our goal is to support student well-being within the school context—offering evidence-based interventions, social-skills groups, or therapy blocks that fit a student’s schedule and goals.
Individual Counseling
Individual counseling sessions are tailored to each student’s specific needs, with goals and approaches adapted based on age, developmental level, and presenting concerns.
Before services begin, a treatment plan is created to guide support and ensure meaningful outcomes. Sessions may focus on areas such as:
Building communication and social skills
Strengthening peer relationships
Developing executive functioning skills (e.g., organization, task initiation, time management)
Supporting emotional regulation and coping strategies
Managing anger, frustration, and problem-solving
Enhancing self-awareness, resilience, and self-esteem
Our goal is to help students build practical skills that foster well-being both in and out of the classroom.
Group Counseling
Group counseling brings together small groups of students (typically 4–6) who are working toward a shared goal, such as improving peer relationships or building emotional resilience.
Group sessions may focus on:
Social skills and peer interactions
Executive functioning and organization
Managing anxiety, stress, and frustration
Conflict resolution and communication
Coping strategies for school and home life
Each group integrates engaging, developmentally appropriate activities such as role-play, bibliotherapy, mindfulness, journaling, and yoga-based movement. Group counseling provides a supportive space where students learn from one another while building skills they can apply in daily life.
