Consult
At Pencil & Pathways, we provide thoughtful and collaborative consultation services to help families, educators, and school teams understand students’ learning, behavioral, and emotional needs. Whether you're seeking clarity, planning next steps, or navigating existing supports, we’re here to help.
We regularly partner with parents, teachers, administrators, and evaluators to:
Identify when an evaluation or support plan may be needed
Interpret prior assessments, IEPs, 504 plans, or intervention data
Develop academic, behavioral, and social-emotional strategies
Provide guidance on accommodations and classroom supports
Support the design, implementation, or refinement of systems that serve students receiving special education services
From one-time consultation or ongoing collaboration, our goal is to help students thrive—by supporting the adults who guide them.

Clarifying a student’s strengths and challenges
Understanding available school-based supports
Discussing effective strategies for learning, behavior, and executive functioning
Navigating communication with school teams
Our aim is to provide parents with clarity, confidence, and a roadmap for advocacy and support.

With experience in dozens of public, private, and charter schools across the Austin area, we support school teams through collaborative, data-informed consultation.
School consultations may include:
Helping determine the need for psychoeducational, language, or behavioral evaluations
Interpreting assessment data to guide instruction and intervention
